White Russian

Good Evening!

In this post i'm going to take you behind the scenes of a photoshoot I did yesterday (hair and make up).  After having around two hours sleep the previous night and a catastrophic headache (all self-inflicted of course!) I headed to the stylists house and location of the shoot.  Luckily I was greeted by a big cup of tea (milk, two sugars) and two crumpets so my spirits were instantly lifted,  I was also relieved to discover that the model was also feeling a little worse for wear after a night of chugging champagne, sadly for me she looked absolutely radiant and I looked like....well you know where i'm going with that.  The model was a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed Russian called Natalia who kept us all entertained with stories of evil exes!  The photographer: Dominic Clarke (whose work you can see by clicking on his name) enormously talented in his field, whose pictures have a dream-like quality to them.  Having worked with him before it was great to collaborate again.  Stylist:  Lou Litchfield (who also happens to be my best friend!) injects so much fun into her shoots by using an array of fabulous textures (feathers, sequins, fur, velvet, chiffon, rhinestones....ahhhhh i'm getting excited just typing it) and always manages to get the looks spot on.  Also being on a shoot with her is a guaranteed laugh and an excuse for a little mischief, artistic mischief of course!  The shoot is going to be published in the March issue of fashion magazine SYN and online for Ballad magazine. Also I have made a  little tutorial at the end on how to recreate the look from the shoot (first make up video I have ever done so be kind ;) ) So without further a do welcome to the shooting ground...

Can't wait to see the actual photographs from the shoot, Just pinched one from Dom's wall:

And of course, me, being ever the professional, having a couple of hours nap on the floor at the shoot ;)

As promised here is the make up tutorial with replicates the eye make up from the shoot...

Products used in Video:
Eyes: Mac khôl pencil in Smoulder on mobile lid, inner eye line and under lower lash line (Small flat synthetic brush to even out the khôl on mobile lid),  Chanel quad palette in 20 Regarde Perlé used deep sea green colour over the khôl (Using sponge tip applicator on the mobile lid and small pointed tip brush under lower lash line), Mac eyeshadow in Carbon to line the upper lash line (Chanel Angled brush 23), YSL False Lash Effect mascara in 1 Noir on top lashes to complete the look.

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed this post

Have a great evening (hopefully practicing your smokey eyes ;) )

Peace and Love
